Cooking- Chocolate/Vanilla Cake

During quarantine, I got inspired to start cooking. As a creative person, I wanted to find something that would keep me busy in my free time during the quarantine lockdown. I started cooking almost everyday, mostly breakfast and sweets. It was a way for me to be more productive instead of staying in my room.

Recipe For Daisy's Chocolate Vanilla Cake

500gr self raising flour

250gr butter room temperature

440gr sugar

4-5 eggs

260ml milk

1tsp vanilla extract

3 tbsp cocoa powder

Heat the oven to 180C/ fan.

Beat the butter until softened and start adding the sugar and the eggs one by one. Continue beating for 3 minutes. Add the self raising flour, the milk and the vanilla extract until smoothly blended.

By using a table spoon, gently stir the cocoa powder mixture to give a marble effect.

Grease and flour lightly a cake tin and pour inside the mixture.

Bake for one hour until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

Leave it to cool and then turn tin upside down.

Daisy's tip⭐️For a fruity scent, peel some skin an orange and add it in your mixture:)
